Smiling Eyes

A Love Poem

Your smiling eyes appear while I’m about my day
I hear your voice guiding me while working.
During the times we are not together
I dream of you holding me and keeping me safe

Your strength surrounds my body and
Gives me the power I require to stay the course.
You are the first thing on my mind in the morning
And the last thing in my heart before I sleep.

 

How can I imagine life before you arrived?

How can I imagine you not a part of my life?
My body shivers when a vision of you flashes before me
And aches to be held by you and feel you close

My essence cries out to be joined with yours.

When we are together the rest of the world disappears
And nothing matters except us.
Knowing you is the most exciting thing I’ve ever done!
