Commiseration Of Triumph

Commiseration Of Triumph

A Poem by Zi

If you've ever felt like crying
And hoped the world would never know
Then looked in a mirror
And saw yourself falling low

If anyone's ever asked you
Do you need a helping hand
And you saw in their pitying look
That it was time to take a stand

If you've hoped that you could change
The way you live your life
To cut out all sorrow
The anger and the strife

If anyone's tried to tell you
That you were doing fine
Because they blocked out that image
Of the thin red bloody line

This song is for the victors
The ones who overcame
The passing of a time
When no one was to blame

My Dear Writing Friend Zi,
Wow, I am impressed. This poem hit me between the eyes with the force of 8.4-magnitude earthquake. The flow is beautiful and the rhythm of each line is perfect. And your message is riveting, you have painted a vibrant word picture that stands alone in an all conclusive and powerfull way. Excellent job.

Blessings, Laughing-Bear

You've left me speechless, darlin'. So speechless. -grins- I love the way you and language have such a perfect relationship. It enthralls me to read what you have to say and see what you guys have cooked up from the depth of your soul.
