A few seconds ago I decided to tell the world

A few minutes ago we were angry at each other

A few hours ago we were talking like nothing ever happened

A few days ago we were pretending everything was okay

A few weeks ago we were in bed together

A few months ago we were the best of friends

A few years ago I didn't even know you

 

A few seconds from now you'll have read this

A few minutes from now we'll both be staring at the ceiling unable to sleep

A few hours from now I'll be wondering what went wrong

A few days from now one of us will apologize, but it won't be enough

A few weeks from now the other will start to soften

A few months from now we'll be talking like nothing ever happened

A few years from now we'll be pretending everything is still okay
