Silent Celebrations in Granulated Darkness

Silent Celebrations in Granulated Darkness

A Poem by zainab .a.

In the transparency of darkness, time granulates.

Something is alive.

Alternating motionlessness;

Now and now,

                now and now and

                                now and now

paired distances closing.

Sight is sightless

all but the twisted kaleidoscope-

feigned whiteness

jacketing robust vivid hues- Visible

again and again,

                again and again and

                                again and again

paired distances closing still.

Till distance is but abstract.

Sporadic revelations,

feigned no further.

Ripe sentiment reeks,

binding, blinding- a celebration of its newfound haven

displacing translucency with transparency.

Unalternating,

unfeigned;

Celebrating

right here

in the transparency of darkness.

Time is ungranulated.
