i re-read several posts and have realized that cut-and-paste is not so simple here.

I'm learning as I go along

to peruse before I post

lest the lyrics are all wrong

and this song is not the most

                         

ethereal of arias sung by the Host most Heavenly

but rather a ghost, a palimpsest of possibilities

a shadow of what once was 

 

a work of searing wit, a tale to tell the ages,

an epic drama for the world's stages

reduced to gibberish

scrambled like the metaphors
