Prologue

It all started in winter; one year ago, and yes this is a true story about how five minutes can change a life forever.

Music was playing loudly, but the sound was interrupted by a smash. Glass shattered all over the car and I heard a scream. I looked over to the driver’s seat and saw my dad. Blood started pouring down from the side of his head. His eyes were shut and I started feeling queasy. My vision started to go blurry and then I lost all control.
