Blast From My Past

 

Six years later a message brings back the past

Times of memories lost and love that would last

It's been so long and much time has passed

Now you come into my life with this huge blast

Lingering still are some feelings I had

Bringing up old news and making me sad

Dealing with shadows my emotions cast

Trying to slow my thoughts that seem so fast

Us then, us now, there's such a different contrast

But what a sweet surprise, my blast from the past
