beautifulA Poem by ZmH
My hands lock around the legs of my pants
Clenching, grasping as they lunge to the floor from my boney hips I pull my hair back to frame my face Cheek bones jump out to mock me As my huge eyes laugh They scan my frail hands My tiny feet My twig legs Until they truly see The me that was me, Can never be me People say I'm beautiful, But that's not what I see If beauty is in the eye of the beholder Behold what I see Ugly is what I shall be © 2014 ZmH |
