drowning

eyes burn

lungs constrict

life  gone just like this

tears unseen

water unclean

death never what it seems

screams smothered

nothing but you underwater

spirit slowly fades

it is all the same

you drown in a pool of your own tears

is this one of your fears?

no bitter taste of salt

no thought of it being your fault

your soul fades into the water

your body goes limp

in the water you float with fresh water shrimp
