plain beauty

plain beauty

A Poem by ZmH

walk along the tree line to sweet open plain

butterflies dance through the wind

so much beauty in such an open place

the sun streams in from east

the birds chirp a glorious song

days no longer drag on

all worries are gone

you close your eyes

to take in the sent of the lilac trees

and listen to the beauty of the rustling leaves

you open your eyes while facing east

and see the mountains to their peak

the suns light dims,

the once blue grey sky goes weak

colors aluminate the plain

such beauty its almost pain

Reading this poem, i feel like, i am walking through the meadow. Experiencing the sensation of the leaves rustlings and birds singing, their songs to each other. Your poem would have a stronger impact on the reader, if you didn't try to rhyme the last two lines. I would suggest the following changes to your poem, from:
"colors aluminate the plain
such beauty its almost pain"
to
"colors illuminate the plain
such beauty its almost painful".
A good start for this poem. Thank you for sharing this poem with us.
