love game

once i stood tall

until i took a fall,

a chance to be in love

i ran and stumbled

only to end up in this puzzle

looking at you, looking at me

falling so quizzically

i took one step forward two back

jumped twice

and got lost in fact

i ran in circles

listening to the words that ran through my mind

i did it time and time again

only to fall upon ashes and ashes

tears upon tears

like childhood games

and new found fears
