tears

tears fall like raindrops

from the darkness of our eyes

clouds surface and all tears rise

lightning hits and it stings

tears so whole and complete

sadness the eye of the storm

 

tears of many colors

expressing different emotions

the feelings we cant express

the sign of distress

 

happiness flourishes

tears fall from the spring

light rainbow in the sky

such a beautiful thing

sweet love and hope

in a dreamers sight

the crack of dawn

or a bird in flight,

fireflies at night

 

tears of many colors

exspressing different emotions

the feelings we cant express

the sign of true happiness

 

dull waters run here

all feelings dissapear

numbness settles in

the constant flow begins

no dark grey cloud,

no rainbow, no sound

just the lightness of tears

hitting the cold ground.

your heartbreaks

your emotions shake

life a mistake

 

tears of many colors

expressing different emotions

the feelins we cant express

the numbness neverthless

 

nor rainbow, or storm, or life itself worn

is full of smiles

take a step back, breathe for awhile

lose yourself gain you, put yourself in others shoes

It is truly beautiful. I agree with poeticbeauty79, that the title of the poem might lead some to believe that this work is sad in nature but in fact it is not. I loved the fact that you have described tears in so many ways giving it such different and vibrant attributes that this DROP OF WATER almost comes across as being something beautiful, mystic and enchanting.

I believe the best has always to be kept for the end: following the old advice of END WITH A BANG. And in this case, I believe you have truly done so. The line :

"tears are the last of your worries, for each one a different story"

is no doubt the most touching, poetic and beautiful line in the entire poem (according to me). Hence it is no doubt my favorite one!
