summer 1

deep haze blocking the warmth of the sun,
dark storm clouds overhead
the distance flash of lightning
the thunder roaring in my ears
summer storms persevere
a single bolt of lightning crashes to the ground
the clouds dance as rain seeps down
the wind blows to the west
strong and mighty through any test
just another summer storm
another day shall be quite warm
