The Green Fuse

My name is Hank and I am 39. I have long admired poetry but have never tried my hand at it other than childhood "Roses are red" type poems in my youth. Now I am going back to school, a bit late I know, and started a creative writing course on a whim. Other than a few exercises on trying to write from the perspective of pencils and other inanimate objects I haven't written much worth posting. I am looking forward to delving more into the heart of poetry and will be thankful for your thoughts and ideas.
