About Me

Habil Yashar was born in 1983 in Baku.
He studied at Secondary School No. 271.
Between 2000 and 2004, he studied at the Faculty of Philology of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University.
From 2006 to 2013, he worked as a teacher at the Baku Petroleum and Energy College. Later, he worked in various fields such as television presenting, management, and newspaper editing. For a period, he was also employed at Azerkitab.
Habil Yashar is a poet and writer.
He is the author of five books and is currently working on his new novel “Colors Pandemic.”
As a writer, he is a recipient of a Presidential Scholarship.
He has been awarded numerous literary prizes, including Müşfik, Güneş, Yazsader, and others.
He ranked third among the youngest writers in the Turkic world.
He is a member of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, World Union of Young Turkic Writers, National Council of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, International Human Rights Organization, World Azerbaijanis Congress, CASCFEN, Youth Council of the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, and the Azerbaijan Literature Foundation.
He has participated in international literary events held in London, Istanbul, Ankara, Tbilisi, Izmir, Bursa, and many other cities.
His works have been translated into Azerbaijani Turkish, Turkish, English, Russian, and other languages, and published in Azerbaijan, Turkey, the USA, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, India, Iran, and other countries.

His poems and short stories address various themes.
Some of his poems have been composed into folk songs.
The play “Khojaly” has been staged in many regions of Azerbaijan.
