Casual Reader. Read non-fiction as well as fiction. Big fan of history and economics. Trying to fit more non-fiction in, since I am no longer in school, I read fewer novels, but am trying to change that. Someone mentioned this site, so I thought I'd check it out.

I think I like writing that can fit in descriptions about the landscape. Something that can make the sites and smells in the story come to life. When I read Tolkien's The Hobbit, not Lord of the Rings trilogy, I found he could make the sights ands smells and tastes come to life. I felt like I could smell the foods that often came into play in the story.
