I live in an extremly small town where you feel as though you are stuck and there is no way of breaking free. I am extremly determined to break free and move to New York to pursue a career in journalism. I am going to be a junior in highschool this year. I love to write; it is my way to get away from the worlds problems. I have known that I wanted to go into journalism from a very young age. I always found myself writing books and poetry, even at the ripe young age of seven. I am an extremly determined person. Everyone in this small town tells me that I will never become a journalist in a big city because small town people are destined to stay forever. I am determined to make my way out of here and never look back. I want to defy the usual small town girl reputation and make something of myself in the world. I am determined. I know that it will happen...I don't know how or even when...but I know that I will make my dreams come true.
