I'm a writing teacher, and I'm interested in online communities. Specifically, I would like to know what you--the other members of The Writer's Cafe--think about this community. What are its advantages? It's disadvantages? It's something my students are doing--joining online communities--and so I wanted to join one too.

I'm also a writer. My first book, Sudden Anthem, won the 2007 American Poetry Journal Prize from Dream Horse Press. I try to write as much as I can, but it's not easy--between work and family--to always find the time.
