Unearthing Life 1

Unearthing Life 1

A Poem by Anand Sehgal

As you protrude your heart
in search of  affection , harmony
and  refuge ;
People  may often reject you once,
may be twice,
eventually thrice too.

But as you grow visibly "big",
meaningfully in some way,
the same group of people would very much
love to be with you .
All on a sudden you become such a  pleasant company
for too many people,
that you feel like giving yourself pinches ,
time and again.

Very profound, enlightening, poem, Anand.
As hard as it is to try to practice...one should
Heed to their soul (intuition) rather than just their heart's wishes.
Your poem, well structured, speaks volumes of how
Trust should be earned, and the consequences of
The lesson you have to learn...if one keeps ignoring
Their inner voice eloquently.

Thank you for sharing! :))

A very realistic write. I can imagine a lot of people relating to this. It's amazing how people who one didn't want you in their life, end up wanting to be around you because others do. We are a strange race! (:

Thank you so much dear Madalyn :) Yes, we are indeed strange, at times even erratic !
If you are not shaped for them you are an external body, when you are shaped for them, ship them out buddy I say, sorry for being rude, it is a genuine feeling at times , but not at at all a fan of rudeness, I may say remember those few with you always and treat them as gold, diamond or whichever precious way you can treat then, I can only treat them as Gold, sorry, enjoyed fully, so relevant and true

Yeah , We live with all these :) thank you Sonashree,
Love
you put it so eloquently...often people don't notice us until others do...then they want to become a part of us...often i think to myself.."too late" as the Grassroots once sang "where were you when i needed you?"

Power always entices people, when you seem small even in your own mind, there's nowhere to go from there, intriguing piece Anand, I could take this one many places.

When you are nobody everyone treats you badly but as soon as you attain a position of some sort the very same people are there welcoming you into their over exclusive clique.Great portrayal of us fickle humans Anand lol
