Why Not Adopt Adult Cats

My very first poem that got me started on writing poetry in the first place.

The kittens, the kittens, the kittens abroad,

All the kittens now are gone,

Loved, and housed, safe someplace

Much more comfortable now from then.

But what of those who are left behind?

What of those who are not the young?

Does age make one unworthy?

If you are simply older, must you not be loved?

Why pass over us, when we are calling to you?

We try to let you know,

We try get you to find us,

And yet you simply go,

And leave us all alone.
