Chapter 3 The Stunning Light of Revelatory Truth

A cold chill blew through to her face. It was getting late in the evening at this point as darkness deepened and the chill could be felt through the withered trees. The cold wind brushing sharply against her cheeks. Kira pondered the coldness of the world and the warm glow she had just encountered. Her armor was still catching what was left of the sun rays and sparkling, if only a little.The moon could already be seen in the evening sky through the shifting leafless branches as the sun began to set, leaving Kira in the dark. 

As she looked down, she found the clips of the belt that held the scabbard and another one on the other side where she placed the shield and the sword.

The leafless trees then began to seem more eerie, though the sideways waxing crescent moon gave her some comfort since it looked more like a smile and made her smile too. Still, the bitter wind and the dark ravine were not something she intended to stay in too long. Now she was starting to get afraid.

Raizen still stood before her. He was not afraid. He lifted up his antlers backwards and then suddenly jolted his head forward. A flame suddenly revealed itself over his antlers as Kira took a step back. The flame did not burn him.

"Don't be afraid." Raizen said as his glowing eyes stared back at her. 

"I know this world is not what it is meant to be. The Holy Spirit is our comforter. Let him help you."

Kira stood back in complete amazement, understanding what he meant.

"Holy Spirit please help me not to be afraid." A fiery warm glow ignited within her, illuminating her armor. The pure light shone through as the colors shone around her like a disco ball. All of the beautiful colors of the rainbow. 

Kira was utterly amazed. 

"Absolutely stunning." She thought.

 She then turned a complete 180 as her awestruck amazement met Raizen's gentle gaze and smile. 

"The Lord of Heaven truly loves you, you know? He desires you with all of his heart. That is why he came down as a human through the son to pay for you with his own blood on that cross. To redeem you from your sin and to prove he so loves you. His thoughts for you are more than the sands near the shores of the ocean. (Psalm 139:18) His love washes you clean and makes you whiter than snow.(Isaiah 1:16-18)"

Kira's thoughts suddenly surged through her of all the memories. The times she could never measure up to people's expectations of her. How she never fit in either because of her "autism" or simply because she was considered an overthinker. People always tried to label her and figure her out but never could. Always just considering weird. Even by her so-called friends and family. Kira wanted to figure herself out. Why she was always left feeling empty and depressed and unwanted, although people claimed they did. Like she didn't belong and felt so out of place.

Raizen perceived her thoughts. "If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own, but because you are not of the world but I chose you out of the world, the world therefore hates you. You don't belong Kira because you are his, not theirs." (John 15:19)

Kira pondered this.

"Friendship with the world is enmity with God. (James 4:4) You were at odds with the one who truly loves you and gave his life for you. That is why you could not fit in when you are called out from among them into his glorious light! You are his chosen one, called out and set apart. A royal priesthood, of God's special people called out of the darkness away from the normal patterns of society. (1 Peter 2:9) It was hard because you could not accept what others have accepted. You could not conform to the trends of the world and let yourself be blinded by the prince of air, Satan, the deceiver of the whole world who blinds the hearts and minds of those unbelievers away from the light of good news that is the gospel. (Romans 12:2)(Ephesians 2:2) (2 Corinthians 4:4) (Revelation 12:9) That Jesus Christ, Yahusha Hamashiach, God in the flesh, the messiah and anointed one by the Holy Spirit, came, lived perfectly, took the wrath and punishment due for our sins away from us, and defeated death once and for all. (Isaiah 53:5) That is the fear of the first death that remains evident in the world as a sign of its brokenness and is the wages of sin (Romans 6:23), and the second death that is the lake of fire for those who do not repent and trust in him alone as their savior (Revelation 20:14). On that day of judgment, your good works will not save you. For there is none good except the Messiah. No, not even one. (Romans 3:10-12) (Psalm 14:1-3) For all like sheep have gone astray, and yet, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Isaiah 53:6) (Romans 5:5). The word of God in the flesh, the Son of Man, to Earth, to seek and save that which is lost. (John 1:14)(Luke 19:10) For the devil comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, a wolf in sheep's clothing, a false angel of light, but Yahusha came that we may have life and life more abundantly. (John 10:10-11) (Matthew 7:15) (2 Corinthians 11:14) So don't worry anymore dear one for the things of this world are perishing, along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God remains forever.(1 John 2:17) Come boldly to his throne of grace and receive forgiveness and new life.(Hebrews 4:16)

Kira fell to her knees understanding the weight of these words. These words of truth. These words of pure devotion and love for her. Her tears hit the dusty creek bed below her. The words of the only one who truly loves her enough to pay the ultimate price for her and even the rest of the unbelieving world!

"A God that loves me so much he would hang on a cross for me." She thought. Her only response was, "Father in heaven I am yours." She said sobbing, falling into the ground, falling into his love.

"Therefore anyone in Christ is a new creation, the old is no more, the new has come!(2 Corinthians 5:17) Indeed a gift that can only be received, not earned so that no one may boast, by the most high God.(Ephesians 2:8-9) Said Raizen unto her.

"Now Kira, arise and shine for your light has come! (Isaiah 60:1) Pierce the darkness of the world with Christ in you, the hope of glory!  (Colossians 1:27-28) For there is only one God, one way, one truth, one life, and only one mediator between God and man, the man Yahusha Hamashiach!(1 Timothy 2:5)(John 14:6) To the only God our savior be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority through Yahusha Hamashiach, the only name that saves, our Lord before all time, and now, and all eternity! Amen! (Acts 4:12)(Jude 1:25)

The rainbow light then seemed to dance all around her as she rose valiantly to her feet, a warrior, an ambassador, a child of the most high God, fully loved, fully known, fully sought after, and wanted by the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! The light would settle into her sword, glowing from the scabbard that she drew out again to be used as a torch to light her way in the dark world around her. She truly radiated as she and Raizen both smiled warmly into the cold world. (To be continued...)
