Chapter 4 The Stunning Ride

Kira marveled at the fire and glow from the sword emitting a radiance and love so amazing, peaceful, and supernatural. A fire that she knew should consume her sword, but did not.  The presence and glory of the Holy Spirit indeed shone through all around her. 

As she stared into the flames and light, there was suddenly a crack heard from behind her. Raizen turned his attention further behind her, towards the sound. Kira followed his intense gaze, sword in hand.

"Don't be afraid." He said, making his way toward her side. Kira backed away a little, intimidated by his approaching huge size, but trusting him to come closer to her.

"Come out!" He shouted. 

Reddish amber eyes and grimacing sharp teeth then appeared on the growling creature making its way around the bend of the ravine, only visible and exposed from in the light of the great elk's flaming antlers.

Kira shuddered at the sight and backed up further behind Raizen. Drawn sword now gripped with both hands and trembling. The wolf was also huge! Fully black fur and a chest as high as her sword. The massive Irish elk towering over Kira would not flinch an inch. 

Teeth bared, the wolf suddenly let out a large, spine-chilling howl and growled, lunging in her direction! 

The elk, too, let out a large bellowing cry as he reared up and stomped downward, hitting the wolf firmly down from the air across the face and side before it could reach her, smacking into the dirt wall. The impact left the wolf dazed for a moment. 

He shook his head, and then he started to talk.

"Ow Raizen, what was that for?! I just want to devour this tasty human."

"Not a chance, wolf!" Raizen declared, looking back down and turning his attention to return to the now frozen Kira. The shock was evident. She was still trembling, her shaky breath now seen in the frosty air. How close was she to that wolf's teeth?!

He stepped closer beside her as he continued. 

"I know whose side you're on! I know you serve that fallen deity, that Devourer! The fallen false angel who lied to Eve to get the dominion over the world from Adam who was with her, causing sin and death to enter into the world. (1 Timothy 2:13-14)(Genesis 3:6) The world that rightfully belongs to the ruler, King, and creator Yahusha Hamashiach, who is the first fruit of the new life of those that have fallen asleep, the last Adam, the one who gives life through the spirit, not the flesh, (1 Corinthians 22-28, 45-50) and to mankind! The accuser and slanderer who roams with evil intent to steal, kill, and destroy all that belongs to the Lord. To invert his good creation! The sinister deceiving one, as a roaring lion seeking those he may devour (1 Peter 5:8) and sending his minions to do his dirty work! I know he's attracted to the true light like a moth to a flame so he can destroy it! The true rightful Kings of kings is coming back to deliver the kingdom to God in his millennial reign! After the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdom of our Lord and his Christ. (Revelation 11:15) After destroying the power of death, and his enemies subjected under his feet on the cross, he will then, at the end of his reign, have all wicked rebellion finally cease and have no more place, authorization, or power over those who are truly his. Now leave! You are not welcome here! Your master's plan will not be! Not on my watch!'

"Hmph, well this won't be the last you hear of me then, elk!  He said as he let out a howling cry that sounded like nails on a chalkboard, sending chills down Kira's spine. Not a pleasant sound as he darted off. 

"That Devourer has got his minions everywhere." Raizen said, furrowing in anger and with his focus in the direction the wolf retreated to, and then turning towards her again.

Raizen understood the danger they were in. 

"Kira. Kira. Kira!" He shouted.

She snapped out of it, turning to face the massive elk. 

"Quickly!" Raizen said. "On my back!"

"Back?! Wait, what?!"

"That wolf's howl was to alert the rest to our location. We need to go!" 

Raizen knelt down. Kira quickly put her sword in the scabbard. More growling and howling could be heard on the walls of the ravine not too far off. She lifted herself over the animal's ginormous back. He lifted himself up slowly as he tilted his head back so she could grab onto his antlers for balance and support; she settled on top of his shoulders and then let them go.

Raizen then turned to face her.

"Alright, now hold on as tight as you can!"

She leaned down with her hands placed to grab tightly in the fur around his neck and elbows down near his shoulders so he wouldn't be hindered; doing this, she did her best to stay steady in the center. The ground seemed far away. She definitely did not want to fall or get in his way.

The sound of the wolves was getting closer as one jumped over the hill down to the ravine, others on his tail howling down after them.

Raizen looked at them and growled and then let out a bugle cry as he turned to take off.

The cold wind quickly met Kira's face. It was fast and hard to breathe as she stayed low. Hooves pummeling in the rocky bottom he ran to and jumped at least 8 feet in the air up unto the hilly side out of the ravine. Kira looked down to the wolves behind them, not letting up. They were about 60 yards away and gaining. At this point they were out of the deep darkness of the ravine, so the stars and moonlight were enough to see them from far away.

"Kira!"

"Y-yes?!" She responded, bumping around from the steep path.

"There is a river up ahead!"

Kira looked ahead. There was a river with fast rocky hard currents raging down in front of them. 

"Don't be afraid! Now, take hold of your lance of intercession!"

The warm glow radiated from her chest and down to her right hand where the warmth and rainbow light expanded from her hand, where another secret weapon of the spirit began to form. Once they reached the edge of the river Raizen then turned to face the oncoming enemy.

"Not today, Satan!" Raizen declared. "You can't have this one!"

He knelt down for Kira to dismount. She got down as steady as she could from the bumpy ride. 

"Okay, Kira, ready, aim, fire!" He said.

All of a sudden Kira had the rhema quickened word from the Holy Spirit in her heart! He imparted to her the right direction to fire the lance to stop the enemy. Straight up and out towards the oncoming threat! She threw the lance at least 30 yards up and out, as straight up as she could.

"Let there be light!" She shouted the words from the guidance imparted to her!

Bang! 

A flash of light as strong as the one that caused Saul to later become Paul, to fall off his horse, to blind him, and to stop those others travelling with him in their tracks shone all around them. The wolf that had attacked them earlier, leading the charge of the pack, began to roll around pawing at his eyes, as did the many others as they all began to scamper around aimlessly. 

"Retreat!" The wolf yelled.

They all howled and retreated.

Kira and Raizen both enjoyed the rainbow sparks of fireworks that came from the light. He smiled meekly and nudged her back gently from the back to applaud her. Both tired, Kira reached her hand out bravely and laid her hand gently on his head, smiling meekly back.
