Tingle

Ah, yes-
That tingle,
Sizzling beneath charred skin,
That itch to tear the wound,
Into a gaping hole.

That tingle to rip the scab,
Unheal the healing,
Let it bleed,
Free and untamed-
The blood wrapping around me,
Like satin strings,
Burnt crimson sinking in.

If I dare to scratch it,
Smell of iron rises-
Tendered prey. 
Ah, yes-
That tingle for death.
