Before The Rain Comes In

Before The Rain Comes In

A Poem by John Alexander McFadyen

Before The Rain Comes In.

Storm clouds were predicted; were gathering;

I decided to mow my lawn

before the rain came in.

I like to be that organised,

to plan ahead,

according to climate fluctuations.

And my lawn is always neat

and well-tended.

It is a pity one cannot predict

women just as well!

Seriously, you're comparing women's minds to your lawn care?!! Sorry, that struck me as so funny...everything is falling into place now. ;)

You're going to start rumors on the cafe John you know how that goes!
very different way to describe a women's mind, and yet its still somewhat accurate. nicely done :)

You're very welcome! :)
Some poet said the wind can change direction similar to the way women may change their minds, so well said poet, it is hard to predict the women's minds, enjoyed the poem

Well, have a long and complicated story and started it as an autobiography on Bebo but got writer's block/memory fogging. People liked it though and kept asking for the next chapter! fools.. more..
