13A Chapter by Tina KlineI felt panicked. I didn't want Roger to find me with this ...male creature. Roger would get insanely jealous and not even listen. And something weird was happening to my body but I didn't know what. “I can get rid of him for you Stacey.” Dartman said. He smiled, it was a mean scary smile. I looked wildly around. There was just no solution to this dangerous unfolding situation. “Stacey!” Roger was just around the bend and Dartman was waiting for him. It was now or never. Did I stand up for Roger or let this alien vampire creature kill him? I didn't know what to do so I did nothing. Dartman took this as permission. His smile widened and he nodded. The next second he was confronting Roger. I knew Roger was going to die. I felt a cold burst of laughter well up in me and escape. Roger stood staring at this alien before him. And I knew Roger could tell Dartman was not human. When I let out my cold laugh Roger looked over to where I now stood.
“Stacey! There you are! What's going on here?” “S**t! Liar!” roared Roger. “Come on Stacey. You look sick. Let's get back to the cabin. It will be dark soon. I'll cook.” I laughed again. I noticed a large grizzly colored wolf coming toward us along the blood lake's edge with several much smaller coyotes following behind it. For some reason I laughed a whole lot more. I was losing my mind, I concluded.
