A Chapter by Tina Kline

I felt dizzy and needy. I looked at the blood coming from Roger and the lake of blood. What was wrong with me? I was in a daze, a dream. This couldn’t be real. The black spots in the trees watched me, the crows and ravens. They rustled their feathers and spoke softly.

Roger cried out, begging for help, begging for mercy.    Dartman sucked his blood all the harder. I fell to my knees, over whelmed with something but it wasn't any sort of upset for Roger. On my hands and knees I crawled toward Roger's dying body. The wolf and coyotes ate away at his legs.  Dartman drank away his life blood. I was drawn by the scent of it all. When I reached the scene of my boy friend's death Dartman 's head rose. He looked at me, his eyes a fiery red, his white face and sharp teeth thickly coated with Roger's blood. Roger wasn't moving. It didn't even look like he was alive.

     “Is he dead?” I asked.

     “Does it matter?”

I thought a moment. Does it matter? I decided it did. “Yes.”

     “He's dead.”

Already the crows and ravens were dropping down from the trees to feast on Roger's dead body. Some carried off the tiny pieces of Rogers shredded clothing.. The falling snow grew heavier. Dartman slid off the dead body and moved toward me He pushed me onto my back on the snowy ground.

She is long gone. Roger's awful death didn't move her too much. The gruesome scene continues as the crows and ravens move in to eat Roger. The story is becoming very dark now. Good horror!!!!

Roger is dead and so is her human life. Nothing will be the same. Her strange male creatures and out of the ordinary animals pack.
