If only life could paint us

in a watercolor dream

With a bank of flowing cattails

standing tall beside a stream

Where the willow trees are waving

neath a sky of powder blue

And each moment that I sit there

I can fall in love with you

Well said Will, although I find it hard enough to do even a finger painting, but I've heard it can be made funner by replacing paint with chocolate and canvas with lady! 😊

A lovely piece of romantic, wishful dreaming. If life and love was as beautiful as a water colour scene then all would be right in our worlds. Alas, that is not always to be. I appreciate the simplicity and honesty of feeling in this poem and the gentle rhyme suits the theme well.
