The Locksmith!!

The Locksmith!!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

All I need is just
One full turn.
For only when I
Release her skeleton lock
Of love on finding
The skeleton key;
Will I be........
The locksmith of love.

Love the play on words with the "skeleton key".....it is always a joy to read poetry that seems fun and light and very creative but is masquerading.... because underneath it is a true and deep philosophical write.

love this, sometimes we lock our hearts aways to protect ourselves... it takes a very special someone to not only find the lock but have the correct key to open it!! :)
love this metaphor !!

Thank you kind lady!
the lock is always visible but that key, well, that's another story... but, if we can find the key and are given opportunity to release those bony skeletons taking up space in that damaged heart, there may be hope for love to flourish... nice job, my friend

You are welcome, sir Mitchell...
some people are hard to open, once they have been severely hurt.

they lock themselves away, and lock love out...imprisoned in their own protective custody.

Well said Jacob and true for some as I mend the damage from others before me in relationships
All royalties to Moi please for planting this one in your mind Andrew! That locksmith looks like he could be a busy chap turning keys all day. Interesting little ditty with your thought processes stamped all over it!
