Mom scolds son ..A Chapter by JessyJacob--- **Words That Refuse to Sleep** “Son,” mother asked softly, standing by the doorway, “how much do you write? It is always writing… writing… and writing.” He looked up, eyes tired but shining. “Amma,” he said, “I don’t even see pages anymore. I see words dancing in my head. When I catch one word, another begins to run. When I hold that one, ten more gather around me. What can I do, Mom? They don’t leave me. They keep knocking. I just feel like writing… writing… and writing.” She came closer, brushing his hair back with gentle fingers. “Stop writing,” she whispered. “Sleep well. Rest your mind.” He smiled faintly. “No, Amma… sleep doesn’t come. Even when I close my eyes, the words are still awake.” She sighed, half worried, half proud. “Stop writing, please… my dear son.” But even in the quiet of the night, the pen moved, and the words refused to sleep.
