Today i saw the full moon.....

**Gibbous Moon**

The moon was in her gibbous glow
When I looked up and saw you there,
Rising slowly in the eastern sky,
As if you came to light my air.

It felt as though we left the earth,
Sat on the moon upon a swing,
Suspended in our sweetest time,
Where silence learned to softly sing.

You were close �" so close to me,
No space between but breath alone.
No need to raise our voices high,
Your whisper felt like coming home.

I wore white, you dressed the same,
Two quiet clouds in silver light.
I heard your heartbeat,calm and deep,
A gentle rhythm in the night.

Your scent �" so warm, so faint, so you,
Like oil you wear upon your skin.
I placed my hand upon your chest,
And felt the steady pulse within.

One arm around your waiting neck,
You held me with your arms so tight.
Your leg entwined with both of mine,
As if to say, *Stay here tonight.*

Then suddenly, like falling stars,
The lightworms shimmered all around,
Floating softly through the air,
Like magic dancing without sound.

I brushed the hair upon your brow,
You caught my hand and made it stay.
That half-smile resting on your lips
Took every wandering thought away.

“Where have you been all these long days?
Why did you stay so far from me?
I missed you more than words can hold,
More than the moon misses the sea.”

Come closer now �" don’t move away.
Let no more distance come between.
Let our lips meet and softly seal
A love so deep, so pure, unseen.

Under the gibbous moon we stay,
Where time forgets to move above.
Just you and I on silver swing,
Breathing in the hush of love.
