My love i hurt not but tease him

One day, he called me and asked me to make upma. I prepared it, but intentionally added a little too much salt. Still, I served it to him. He was hungry, so he began eating right away.

As he took a few bites, his expression changed, yet he smiled and said, “Oh, very delicious… get me some curd.” I told him there was no curd at home and that he’d have to buy some. Then he asked me for some chili powder. I didn’t understand why he wanted it, but I handed it to him anyway.

The next moment, he came behind me, held my hands with one of his, and said playfully, “You put too much salt… come on, open your mouth. Otherwise, I’ll put it in your eyes.” I panicked and pleaded, “No, please stop! I’ll make the upma again… please!”

Instead, he gently placed a pinch of chili on my right cheek… and then licked it off. I was shocked, half-annoyed, half-amused, and for a moment I felt like throwing a glass of water on his face. But before I could even react, he laughed and splashed water on mine first.

And just like that an unforgettable moment.
