A month already passed

A Chapter by JessyJacob

It’s been a month since you left us, Amma,
And silence has learned to speak your name.
Who will sit beside me now,
And listen the way only you could?

Your son stands lost in a maze
Of cruel plans and shadowed intentions,
Where smiles hide storms
And trust feels like a fading dream.

Who will guide us gently forward,
Show us how to live with strength again?
I am drowning in tears that were never ours,
In a sorrow forced upon our days.

Amma, who will pour courage into my veins now?
Who will remind me I am stronger than this ache?
I miss you in every breath I take,
In every quiet moment that breaks me.

They gather, whispering over what we built,
Counting what was never theirs to claim.
Amma, wake up… I am still here,
Holding your place with trembling hands.

It feels like they are feeding on our blood,
On memories we haven’t even finished living.
Come back, Amma"
I don’t know how to stand without you.

I saw a goddess in you,
A strength no storm could bend.
Now even the heavens feel empty,
Because you are not there… or here.

I am calling you through every tear,
Through every broken piece of me"
Amma, I am still your child,
And I am missing you… more than words can hold.
