The oak tree, the moon , they silently witnessed

The oak tree, the moon , they silently witnessed

A Poem by Linda alexander

There stood the oak tree sensing all the transmitted waves of his and her thoughts
The oak tree with real emotions I am talking about
The blue jays were even discussing about the relation between two
How dare those little fragile birds have the nerve to do that
The moon was calm, quiet, simply absorbing the warmth of the thoughts passing by
The stars winked at the moon through her left eye
The moon thought I missed it, no way I got the full depth of it
We all stayed there in harmony, how marvelous
I wish those moments pass by more frequently

the title caught my attention initially.

this is the first of yours i've read. the verses are as poignant as the title. a banding of nature's silent thoughts revealed in a unique narrative. it leaves me the curiosity of wondering the species of the narrator. if human, how lovely the sensitivity of recognizing nature's language.

the moon is an elder statesmen, knowing much, but saying little. and the stars so many trillions of years in age they share that ancient wisdom. blue jays confined to living but mere moments compared to the stellar beings gossip in galactic immaturity. humbly the narrator clues us that she too understood with what i took to be a wisdom beyond her years maybe.

thank you for sharing this with us :)
