Still barbarians

Animals kill a person for food, may be it is scared or by misunderstanding,the civilized humans do more barbarism universally compared to animals which is a real shame to humanity

Still at times we are barbarians

Barbarians even lacking animal instincts

Yes with superstitions and violent nature

It is in our blood so hard to change

Still at times we are pure barbarians

I agree with your logic. Barbarians had changed little throughout history. Land, power and wealth is the goal of the Barbarians of today and yesterday. I like how you compared the animals to the humans. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Emotion. Emotion is the difference, if it weren't for it , we'ed roam the earth sniffing each each others crotches to promulgate our species only. We would simply co-exist, in peace unless, of course, we get hungry. In that case, we'ed take what we could get to survive the day, not waste a thing and then go sleep and dream about a new day. We would not point an arrow or a gun or a bomb at one another.
We might, however,explore the universe simply because it's there (in big way, just look up). But no, we can't be or do any of these things because we are infested with emotion, GOD DAMN IT!

Indeed Linda. Truly barbarians. You present this truth in great poetry. Beasts are not capable of atrocity. Beasts are simple beasts, members of the food chain. With humans it is a choice to defy our divine nature and usher in evil.

At times I hail the barbarian..I have learned that civilization is a lie. Civilization is nothing more than the elite controlling all and the commoner is to sit down..shut their mouths and be ruled without the urge to fight back or seek liberty...at times...I want to be.."The Barbarian"
