Weighing scale

Weighing scale

A Poem by Linda alexander

Changed my weighing scale after some thinking
Yes to measure the core and the soul for sure
It was surprisingly very great numbers after weighing
Thinking why this happened way late in my walk

No money, no mansion, not even cushion of daily comforts
Lots of serenity gleamed in my garden every single mornings
My soul started talking to me and was so pleased with me
It is so strange my own soul talking to me after a long time

This had special meaning to me. I walked away from everything many years ago to come to Mexico and live in a small, peaceful village. I have never regretted the move. Making life simple is simply learning to live. You presented this well and one should always listen to their soul, after all, it speaks in whispers.
Very well done. I enjoyed it.

Those little voices at the back of your head. Giving unconscious advice.
The weight of daily survival in a city rat race weighs heavy.
Lovely piece of writing.

This is as lovely as you always are, Linda. My soul hasn't let me read or write much lately. It's been heavy. This helps lessen the burden. As usual, you're a blessing. Thanks for posting on here. :)

it isn't how much we have, it is what we do with what we have...

and how much we enjoy it...according to sheryl crow's song "it's not needing what you want, it's wanting what you've got"
