Parthaa do you hear me

Parthaa do you hear me

A Poem by Linda alexander

I do not want this world as a ransom for this battle
I do not even desire this mother earth
I want to die even before the next sunset
I am crying along with you Partha

Who told you the results are yours
Are the results only up to me child
Why you can not fight just day at a time
Fighting is the only duty expected from you

Whom you are suspecting I am not sure
Are you really questioning the supreme itself
Do you believe there are powers above and beyond you
I am asking why you concerned about the outcome of battle

Author's Note

Linda alexander
The advice of Lord Krishna in Bhagavat Gita(relegious book in Hiduism) to Arjun (Parthan) can be a advice to all of us, the outcome is for the supreme you simply do your duty, hard to swallow, but so true. Sorrow of Arjun (Parthan is another name of Arjun) and empowerment of Parthan by Lord Krishna when he lost his son Abhimanyu is the seed of this poem, only for creative writing perspective

To do your job and do it well is what it's all about. We should not worry about who is watching or why we are meant to do that job or even where the work will lead us. We should enjoy every moment to the fullest. Very well written. Lydi**
