I am so sorry I was eating medical knowledge for a while so I regurgitated the same. Interstitial lung disease can be caused by two hundred or more different reasons. It can lead to pulmonary fibrosis. No gas exchange will happen in your alveoli of the lung tissue. If way advanced lung transplantation may help you. This is not information with authenticity but few things I just noticed when passing by
