The wind

The wind

A Poem by Linda alexander

The wind just blows
It just wants to travel
Over the meadows and over the valleys
I attached my mind to the wings of that wind

This was so short and yet, in its own way, very vivid. I think the short, short, long, long structure kind of helped with that, it's almost like you could hear the wind flowing past and maybe hitting an obstacle and redirecting itself slightly. If the wind could talk, I'm sure it could tell us all some tales.

Wind whispers can be gentle but sometimes the strength builds up and there she blows. You became the wind in this write. Lovely brevity Linda.

I think as poets, our words travel with that breeze and then they land
on white soil...creating art on canvas earth.
