more than it seems

I glance at you from across the hall, and I just want to fall. How can you be so perfect and I know nothing about you at all, but your looks and your eyes and how you stand so tall? I don't know what I want to say to you, so I don't why I go up to you anyway. I have no clue who I am and I don't know who you are. 

Can we be together? You're one of a kind. Could we be forever; more than just what I see in your eyes? You're just a dream but could we be more than what you see; more than it seems?

Well now, I know your name and it just fits your face. But you're probably not going to want to know mine too, because why would you? I don't know what to do, but just wish you could see more than what's on the outside. Because I'm nothing on the outside. I don't know what we're doing anymore because I don't know if there's anything left we can do. I see you talking to your friends and see you talking to him, but I'm not sure if you can see me too. 

Can we be forever together like a cheesy love story I'd write? You only feel right to me, and I think it's love at first sight. I see you with him---across the way---he's your date, and you're dancing the night away. I'm over here on the sidelines watching you like it's my favorite game. I might say "hey" every now and then and compliment you again, but I know you won't ever want me like this. 

We could be a momentary love story. We'd be legendary like in the movies, if we could just be more than you see with me.
