You will be missedA Poem by Sami KhalilAn English sonnet
You will be missed by Sami Khalil An English sonnet… No rhyme to life, no glory to behold You will be missed when joy of living tears Find us in great agony and perils told For those who can survive ruthless storms’ fears. Some live another day, others succumb When death occurs, thoughts become emotions Rambling incessantly to endless thrum For when bells ring, you hear thus commotions. Life is ephemeral, flickers and shines Never shall be when the angel dares call Off into the well, we see moral signs Say adieu for the departed withal. The best thing to bestow humans is love Leaving mother’s comfort legacy, kind of. © 2025 Sami KhalilFeatured Review
