The Key

Today is a new day

And I embrace it

With a new outlook

On life

Time to turn the page of the book,

Yesterday I felt pains

Like never before

And hope they stay at bay

For the rest 

Of this day,

I know they will return

That's what is so sad

But I must be tough

And handle what God has dealt me

I know it's going to be rough

I must pull through

Not let it get the best of me

And I do believe

That is the key.
