We Three

We three�"my son, my husband, and I�"
have what the world calls enough:
wealth, career, stability in our hands,
yet still we find ourselves
walking through unseen struggles.

There are people around us
whose eyes carry jealousy,
uncomfortable with our peace,
uneasy with what they think we have.

But we are not shaken.

Because what we truly have
cannot be taken or touched�"
a bond that holds us together,
a strength built within us
through every season of life.

God walks with us,
not loudly, but firmly�"
as strength in our steps,
as courage in our silence,
as protection in our home.

And so we remain steady.

Let others feel what they feel,
let the world assume what it wants�"
we are not defined by their thoughts.

We are fine with our life.
We stand together.
We move forward together.

We three�"
and that is we are.
